Cams: 5 sets of 4 profile shapes. (TS0060)
These cams cover a range of profile shapes suited to classroom activities. The shaft hole has a 4 mm diameter and will fit snugly onto a 4 mm wooden dowel.
Each cam is easily bored to another size to fit other dowel sizes.
Each internal hole size of these cams fits our micro-plastic bush TS0207 and this enable the cams to be directly fitted to any 2 mm diameter motor shaft.
Cams are interestingly used in creating toys, puppets and robots where moving parts and eccentric movements are desired.Note that a hole through the cam that is not on its true centre will enable eccentric movement to take place.
When rotated the cam's outer diameter will move in such a manner that a cam follower can be made to rise up and down in a novel manner.
